I've spent my career inside the kinds of codebases and organizations that don't come with clean blueprints. Legacy systems, scaling pains, team dynamics, security requirements — I've worked across all of it. What I've learned is that the highest-leverage thing a senior engineer can do is bring clarity to chaos, and then build from there.
Rescue & refactor
I've rebuilt production Rails apps that had hit a wall from entropy. I quarantine what's broken, introduce new patterns, and unblock teams — without rewrites.
Mentor as I build
Leading as a peer is what I do best. I raise the skill floor of teams through pairing, code review, and sharing context — not process overhead.
